Do you ever find it hard to focus? Always fidgeting with something? Repeating yourself constantly? Do you ever find it hard to focus? Always fidgeting with something? Repeating yourself constantly? Do you ever find it hard to focus? Always fidgeting with something? Repeating yourself constantly?
If so, then NeuroPlus is for you – and apparently, me. With all the beeping, buzzing, and chirping from our phones these days, we’re all finding it increasingly hard to focus. But the team over at NeuroPlus is here to help – HEY, stop looking at that squirrel!
They partnered with researchers at Duke University to test their brain-tracking headset that combines neurofeedback, biofeedback, and cognitive training to improve focus and self-control. But what do all those fancy words really mean? Basically you put on the NeuroPlus headset and fire up their app. From there you’re able to play a series of games that actually look pretty fun. The headset, don’t ask me how, tracks your brain activity and gives you real-time feedback to improve your long-term ability to focus.
Here’s an example. In a game called Axon, you’re controlling a dragon. The more focused you are, the faster your dragon flies. Start to fidget or move too much and the game will give you a warning to keep still. There’s a ton of research by people way smarter than you or I that actually backs this stuff up. Simply put, it really can help you focus and is great for kids too. Check out their Kickstarter campaign to learn more about the science behind NeuroPlus and to see their full lineup of games.
Now where did that squirrel get off to…
